HolonIQ and partners are hosting events for the community and by invitation to bring together public and private sector leaders, entrepreneurs and the community at large to accelerate impact in Puerto Rico and beyond.

The Puerto Rico Impact Research Awards Ceremony will take place in San Juan on Thursday May 16 from 6pm.

Puerto Rico Impact Week will host a special free event for Puerto Rican K12 leaders and stakeholders, bringing together local and global research and case studies to explore innovation, impact and research in primary and secondary education.
The event is sponsored by the 21st Century Techforce Initiative and brings together educators, researchers, investment and technology leaders.

Description. Schools with strong family engagement are ten times more likely to improve student learning outcomes and, when implemented effectively, can be a highly cost-effective investment. The Center for Universal Education at the Brookings Institution has undertaken extensive global research on the benefits of school-family engagement for student success and outcomes for school systems.
Brookings 'playbook' for family-school engagement offers a set of resources and tools for understanding the four goals (improving attendance & completion, improve learning and development, redefining the purpose of school for students, redefining the purpose of school for society) and highlights findings from a review of over 500 strategies. The interactive database features more than 60 family-school engagement strategies, and other resources include research papers, conversation starter tools, and a playbook report.
