HolonIQ is delighted to announce the opening of nominations for the Puerto Rico Impact Week, Science and Technology Research Awards. These awards aim to recognize and honor outstanding contributions in the fields of research and technological advancement in climate change, education and talent and biotech and healthcare. With a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation, the awards celebrate achievements that have significantly contributed to expanding knowledge and improving society in critical global challenges.
Award Categories:
Innovative Research Award: Recognizing groundbreaking academic research that has the potential to significantly impact its field.
Technological Advancement Award: Honoring technological innovations that demonstrate practical applications and potential benefits to Puerto Rico.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration Award: Acknowledging projects that exemplify effective collaboration across different academic disciplines or with industry.
Sustainable Development Award: Celebrating research and technology contributions that promote sustainable solutions in areas such as energy, climate, and the environment.
Educational Excellence Award: Commending initiatives that have substantially improved educational methodologies, digital learning or outcomes for students.
Evaluation Criteria:
Relevance: The project and or research must be relevant to the current challenges and opportunities in Climate Change, Education or Health and focused in whole or part on Puerto Rico.
Impact: The potential for measurable and significant impact for Puerto Rico.
Innovation: Research conducted by the individual or group should demonstrate originality and creativity.
Scientific Rigor: Research and technological developments adhere to the highest research, scientific inquiry and ethical standards.
Collaboration: The extent to which the research demonstrates effective teamwork and communication, especially in interdisciplinary endeavors or engagement with industry.
Evaluation Process:
Nominations will undergo rigorous review by a distinguished panel of experts from various academic and technological fields. The panel will evaluate each submission based on the above criteria, ensuring a fair and comprehensive assessment of all entries.
Awards Ceremony:
Winners will be honored at a special ceremony during Puerto Rico Impact Week, where they will have the opportunity to present their work to a broader audience, including industry leaders, academia, and the media.
